Enhanced Utility Relief for Consumers in January
With January’s highest monthly default natural gas rate reaching $6.446 per gigajoule, the natural gas rebate will not be triggered for January. However, the natural gas rebate program continues to offer price protection from volatile natural gas prices for Albertans as consumers around the world continue to see high prices. HERE

Alberta Business Grants - all in one place. HERE
Canada Small Business Loan makes it easier for small businesses to get loans from financial institutions by sharing the risk with lenders. HERE
Student Work Placement Program - Work placements are a win-win for employers and students. Through the Student Work Placement program, employers can apply for wage subsidies to help them hire post-secondary students across Canada. HERE
Work-Sharing Program: helps employers and employees avoid layoffs when:
there is a temporary decrease in the normal level of business activity, and
the decrease is beyond the control of the employer. The employer and the employees involved (and the union, if applicable) must agree to participate in a Work-Sharing agreement. Then the employer applies to participate in a Work-Sharing agreement. HERE
Jobs and Growth Fund: provides funding to businesses and organizations to help create jobs and position local economies for long-term growth. The fund, delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies (RDAs), provides $700 million nationally over 3 years, which includes up to $70 million dedicated to businesses created after January 2020 that meet eligibility criteria. The Canada-Alberta Job Grant helps to cover training expenses for existing employees and new hires. If you are hiring and training an unemployed Albertan, up to 100% of training costs could be covered, up to $15,000 per trainee. HERE
Government of Alberta- Culture and Status of Women Grants
Funding opportunities for projects in the areas of arts, culture, community, heritage, recreation, sport, and diversity and inclusion. HERE
AgriDiversity Program: The AgriDiversity Program aims to help under-represented groups in Canadian agriculture, including youth, women, Indigenous Peoples, and persons with disabilities, to fully participate in the sector by helping these groups address the key issues and barriers they often face for sector participation.
